Introduction

A practice built around women who were not being heard

Mr Jonathan Broome established The Pelvic Clinic to look after the many women who come looking for answers about their pelvic symptoms — often after years of being told there was nothing much to be done.

As senior gynaecologist he is well known both locally and nationally for treating women with pelvic floor disorders, particularly urinary incontinence and prolapse. Alongside that specialist work he continues to care for women with more general gynaecological concerns.

Surgical Expertise

Keyhole prolapse repair — without a hysterectomy

Women travel from all over the UK for keyhole prolapse repair with Mr Broome, one of only a small number of surgeons in the country able to lift the pelvic floor back into place without the need for a hysterectomy. The reason they seek it out is simple: it keeps the womb, it means smaller incisions and a quicker recovery, and it treats the problem at its root rather than working around it.

Experience

More than two decades of consultant-level pelvic floor surgery, in the NHS and in private practice.

Empathy

Time to talk things through properly, in plain language, without being rushed or made to feel this is something you should simply put up with.

Quality of life

The goal is always the same — getting you back to the work, exercise and confidence you had quietly given up on.
